MANDATE
Qwerty Magazine
is published every winter and by graduate students in the Department of English at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. The Homerow Chapbook Series publishes every spring and fall. We gratefully acknowledge the financial assistance of the Faculty of Arts and the Shaw Fund.

PEOPLE WE LIKE
Our dear friends Sue Sinclair, Lydia Noble, and Janet Noiles; our ad exchange partners across Canada; and of course, our long-suffering financial supporters: Dr. Peter Thompson, the venerated Dean of Arts, and the UNB Department of English.

TERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather and operate is the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship,” which Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq Peoples first signed with the British crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
